  • Classification: Video or Animation, text works and text works complemented by drawings, photography and illustrations, and comic strips.
  • Categories: Children, Teens, Adults, Multimedia.

3rd Young Creators and Inventors Competition

To inspire children and youths into the path of innovation by generating creative solutions based on science and technology to solve community problems and/or market needs.

There are two categories:


  • CATEGORY A. For participants between 6 and 13 years of age.
  • CATEGORY B. For participants between 20 and 23 years of age.

2nd Short Story, Novel and Scientific Comic Competition "Tell Me About Science"

The competition was created with the objective promoting the interest of children and young adults in science through fun and creative stories relevant to the subjects.


It focused on mexican children and young adults from ages 6 to 23 who are coursing elementary, middle, high school or university in any public or private institution of the State of Nuevo Leon.


The awards for the teenager and professional categories were presented at the Nuevo Leon I²T² facilities.


Y los ganadores de las categorías juvenil y superior fueron premiados en las instalaciones del Instituto de Innovación y Transferencia de Tecnología de Nuevo Leon.


Prizes consisted of electronic appliances such as laptops, tablets, microscopes, cameras, Science and Technology Certifications at Horno 3, passes for science museums and redeemable coupons.

2nd Creative and Inventor Youths Competition

Created with the objective of inspiring children and youths into the road of innovation by generating creative, science-and-technology-based solutions for community problems and/or to satisfy market needs.


The competition focused on mexican children and young adults fromg ages 6 to 23 living in the State of Nuevo Leon. The competition accepts individual and team proposals, with or without a project assesor.


The winners of the professionals' category were presented by the Secretary of Education, Lic Aurora Cavazos Cavazos during the inauguration of the National Science and Technology Week of Nuevo Leon.

CleanTech Challenge Mexico 2015 Extends Its Invitation.

Cleantech Challenge Mexico (CTCM), the most important green business competition in Mexico, in its sixth edition continues to promote the development of a green economy for Mexico and extends its invitation until April 14, 2015.

The contest is open to responsible businesses, committed entrepreneurs, college students, researchers or any person that has identified and/or developed a solution to an environmental issue that can be adapted into innovative and sustainable business applications, developed for commercial uses and that utilizes, creates or promotes the use of clean technology (cleantech).

CTCM2015 is divided into 2 main stages:

  • The regional tournament consists of phases 1 and 2. The 150 best projects selected from the initial call will compete; 32 of them will advance to the national tournament.
  • The national tournament consists of phases 3, 4 and 5 (semi-finals). The 32 best businesses from the regional tournament will compete to be selected among the 4 finalists.

CTCM is distinguished by strengthening all the chosen projects through multiple benefits such as continual training for the development of technology-based enterprises, lasting for 5 months and worth over $100,000 MXN, in topics such as sustainability, business intelligence, marketing, finance and investment. The top 32 will receive advisory and specialized counseling from mentors and/or advisors.

The chosen 150 will be able to participate in a variety of networking events with the media, investors, other entrepreneurs and potential strategic partners, as well as parallel events organized by CTCM or our strategic partners and sponsors.

Ultimately, the finalists have the opportunity of winning several prizes, among which is a stock of $250,000 MXN and the opportunity of receiving funds from private equity funds with a co-investment capacity of up to $30 million USD.
