Conacyt – Nuevo Leon Joint Fund


It is an instrument for supporting the economic development of the State of Nuevo Leon through scientific and technological action via a fund with contributions from the state government and the federal government through CONACYT.


This fund allows the State of Nuevo Leon to allocate resources for scientific research, innovation and technological development oriented towards the resolution of specific strategic problems in the state, with the support of federal resources and the academic and private sector. In this manner, the state's development and the consolidation of its scientific and technological capabilities are promoted.


Who may apply?


The fund is designes for public and private institutions, research centers, businesses and private individuals, domestic or residing in Mexico, that are linked to the undertaking of science and technology research, technological development and the production of basic technology and engineering.

Innovation Incentive Program (PEI)


It is a support program for businesses that invet in research projects, the development of new technologies and innovation directed towards the development of new products, processes or services.


Its main objective is to boost businesses' investments in activities and projects related to research, technological development and innovation at the national level by granting complementary incentives, so that the support has the highest possible impact over the competitivity of the national economy.


Who may apply?


Mexican businesses suscribed to the National Registry of Science and Technology Businesses and Institutions (RENIECYT), that undertake activities in research, technological development and Innovation within the country, whether individually of connected to public or private national Institutions of Higher Learning, and/or national public Research Centers and Insitutions.

Training Program for Enterprises Participating in Innovation Stimulus (PEI)

I²T² coordinates and executes a series of activities for the promotion of the Innovation Stimulus Program. Its main objective is to offer training programs to research centers, universities and enterprises susceptible of collaborating with the purpose of strengthening their capacity for presenting high value proposals that receive a good evaluation within the program.

Incorporation of human capital to the productive sector


The Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer (I²T²) has as one of its main objectives to attract and incorporate high level human resources with Masters and Doctorate degrees in the industrial and strategic sectors, contributing to:

  • The increase in quality and competitivity of products, processes and services;
  • The reinforcement of innovation networks; and
  • The increased connection between Institutions of Higher Learning, Research Centers and Businesses.

The I²T² has two strategies for attracting and incorporating high level human resources:
